Associate Professor at UiT focusing on machine learning, generative AI, and applications in space, maritime and clinical sectors.

I was the committee leader for the evaluation of the PhD candidate Marc Weitz at the department of Computer Science, UiT. His thesis was entitled “Device-based measurement of lifestyle-related variables from the hip - Methods for 24 h wear protocols under free-living conditions”. The disputas was held at 17.06.2025.

I’ve also been part of three evaluation committees for positions as PhD during 2024 and 2025, in which I was leading two of them. The call for applications for the PhD Positions can be found here, here and here. In May 2026, I was part of two evaluation committee for permanent positions at UiT, Campus Bodø. These were a position as Assistant Professor in computer science, and a position for a study advisor.
